SYSTEMS COMMISSIONING

The Systems Commissioning is a process of validation for the completeness of the systems' installation and their proper interface in providing the end results intended by the design.

The purpose of the Systems Commissioning and Acceptance Test is to assure delivery to the Owner systems which are fully functioning in accordance with drawings and specifications. Assurance is also provided that the operating personnel is trained to assume the responsibility of running the systems.

The Systems Commissioning is a product of joint efforts by the installing contractors; test and balance contractors; construction management team; and the Engineer-of-Record team. The commissioning process is orchestrated and validated by the Commissioning Agent's team.

Scope Of Work

The Systems Commissioning process is not a substitution for any of the requirements set forth by the specifications, test and balance, start-up procedures, or any other activities established for the purpose of assuring compliance with the contract documents and maintaining the highest level of workmanship. The commissioning is a supplemental service covering two major groups of systems supporting the facility functions - mechanical and electrical systems.
