MECHANICAL ENGINEER/PROJECT MANAGER

Responsibilities: Must be able to function in the role of Lead Mechanical Engineer. This will include, but not be limited to, performing Heating and Cooling Load Calculations, Title-24 Energy Calculations, ASHRAE 90.1 calculations and sizing, selecting, specifying and laying out HVAC equipment and ductwork in coordination with other disciplines. A strong foundation and knowledge of national building and mechanical codes and the ability to prepare construction documents (including specifications) is required. Candidates must have the desire and proven ability to plan, organize, direct and control assigned personnel and production budgets to meet project schedules. Additional responsibilities will include performing quality control and coordination reviews, preparing feasibility studies and probable cost analysis, attending coordination and design meetings with clients, interfacing with local and national departments of building and safety, performing field surveys and preparing reports, and assisting in construction administration duties (RFI's, Shop Drawings Reviews, etc.) during the projects construction support phase.

Qualifications: 12-15 years of experience in mechanical engineering and design (HVAC, air side and water side) within the consulting profession for commercial, health care, entertainment, food service, hotel/hospitality, institutional, and/or industrial facilities. Must be AutoCAD and computer literate and proficient with Word, Excel and Power Point. B.S. Mechanical Engineering and Professional Engineers Registration are required.
