John
Wayne Airport
Santa Ana, California
The
$ 18.0 M project provides for the design and construction of an
on-site, hybrid Co-Generation Plant and a Central Plant with a heat
recovery system capable of supporting airport operations.
The
co-generation facility will include multiple natural gas-fired internal
combustion engine generators with a total installed capacity of
7,000 kilowatts and a chilled water supply capacity of 2,700 tons
of refrigeration generated from a combination of electric driven
centrifugal and absorption chillers.

to meet the energy, safety, security and comfort requirements for
the existing terminals and the future terminal building expansion.
